Not only Canada’s leader in 100% natural bath and body products, Canmore-based Rocky Mountain Soap Company is also a generous supporter of our empowering work for girls. We are thrilled to put the $10,000 raised by the women’s run towards our mission to keep girls healthy, happy, and active in sport through their teens.

“We’re honoured to be working with an organization such as Fast and Female that shares so many of our core values,” says Rocky Mountain Soap Company co-owner Karina Birch. “We strive to help women of all ages feel empowered, to live a healthy lifestyle and to embrace the natural wonders of the outdoors.”

Over the weekend of May 28th and 29th, 164 girls joined Fast and Female for a fun run (distance of either 500m or 2km) at the Canmore Nordic Center in Alberta. “The girls had tons of fun… as usual!” said parent Michelle Purdie of her daughters’ experience running with her friends.

The girls got to meet 15 stellar ambassadors from the sports of speedskating, road biking, mountain biking, luge, cross-country skiing, bobsleigh, and ski jumping, including Olympic medalists Jessica Gregg (short track speedskating), Helen Upperton (bobsleigh), and Chandra Crawford (cross country skiing).

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our dream partnership an amazing lemongrass-scented reality.
